In the current year Ukrainian cafes and restaurants were fined by the state foods and consumer service almost 480 thousand UAH for violation of the law about Smoking. About it “Today” reported in a press-the centre of the service and said that voluntarily paid the fines — only a small part.
According to supervisors, the institution voluntarily paid about $ 80.5 thousand UAH after litigation — about 16 thousand UAH, and 21 cases (more than 280 thousand UAH) is in the courts.
In Hospitible predict that in the coming year those fined could increase significantly, because the opportunity to inspect such institutions at inspectors have appeared only in 2016 (previously, a moratorium on inspections). And visitors whose rights are violated due to Smoking neighbors in the cafes, the inspectors advised to make the complaint and attach photo evidence of the violation. As a rule, if you can prove a violation, then the institution pays a fine from 1 to 10 thousand UAH.
We will remind, the law banning Smoking in cafés and restaurants came into effect from 2012.
