Canada may curtail military aid to Ukraine

The government of Canada may suspend some military aid to Ukraine. This was stated by the Deputy of the Federal Parliament, James Bezan, writes UKRINFORM.

According to the MP, military assistance would be considered “too provocative” towards Russia.

“The Ukrainian community of Canada, a member of which is me, concerned about the restoration of relations with Russia. Minister Dion just says he wants to engage in direct dialogue with Putin and Lavrov,” – said the Deputy.

On possible cooperation with Russia, the government of Canada announced in January 2016, but since then Ottawa managed to impose new sanctions against Moscow.

In December, Canada supported free trade with Ukraine.
