The UN security Council in new York (USA) today, February 13, will hold an open debate on the protection of critical infrastructure under the chairmanship of the Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin. This reports the press center of the MFA of Ukraine.
“13 Feb open debate of the UN security Council, chaired by Klimkin on the protection of critical infrastructure from terrorist threats”, – said the foreign Ministry in Twitter.
The report notes that the debate will begin at 17:00 Kyiv time.

As reported previously Klimkin said that he expects to meet with representatives of the administration of U.S. President Donald trump in February this year.
“Next month, (February – Ed.) I will attend, as we are chairing the security Council (the UN – Ed.). We will have two important Ministerial meeting on threats to infrastructure and conflicts in the European space. I’ll be there to meet with representatives of the American administration,” he told reporters.
9 February the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that soon will be his visit to the United States, and the Minister of foreign Affairs Paul Klimkin in Washington will hold talks on preparation of the visit.
“We agreed (in a telephone conversation with the presidents of the United States Donald trump – Ed.) what will take place in the near future my visit to the United States, and for the technical preparation of this visit, we also agreed that the Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin will visit Washington and will conduct the necessary negotiations on this issue”, – said Poroshenko during a joint briefing with Prime Minister of Greece Alexis Tsipras.
Ukraine from February 1, began to preside over the security Council of the United Nations. It is planned that under the chairmanship of Ukraine on February 13 to be considered is the protection of critical infrastructure, and February 21 – settlement of the conflicts in Europe.
