The Cabinet will verify the legality of controversial construction projects in Kiev

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has created an interagency working group on construction of some objects of Kiev, which caused a public outcry. This decision was taken at the meeting chaired by Vice-Prime Minister, Minister of regional development, construction and housing and communal services Gennady Zubko, the press service of the Cabinet.

In particular, we are talking about building the territory of the former hay market street Bulvarno-Kudryavskaya, 15; St. Michael Boychuk, 20-22; Lvovskaya str., 15; gorlovskaya str, 212; str, 40; at the intersection revutskogo str., 8-K and Anna Akhmatova str.; ul., 3; Kopernyka St., 7; Mechnikova str., 11-a, Zhilyanskaya street, 120-b and the Bykivnia forest.

Working group is headed by Deputy Minister of regional development, construction and housing. Within 10 days of the Kyiv city state administration, State architecture and construction inspection and Gosgeokadastr will prepare a report on each of these objects, the chronology of occurrence of the issue, action taken and proposals to resolve the conflict.

At the same time, the Ministry of regional development together with the Ministry of justice will prepare a mechanism for the protection of public interests in the process of resonant construction, in particular through the courts. Also analyzed will be enshrined in the legal field mechanisms to limit height of objects in the historical areas of cities. In addition, the KSCA will provide clarification of existing urban conditions and restrictions of building of the hay market.
