Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman believes that the Verkhovna Rada will support the increase of pensions to Ukrainians from October 1, 2017 and annual indexation taking into account growth in average wages and inflation.
“The government has proposed to raise pensions, which in General will relate to the 9 million pensioners, took place on 1 October. We also proposed to continue each year going automatic indexation of pensions with the growth in average wages and inflation. The national Council of reforms this Friday endorsed our proposal, and the next week a government bill will be submitted to Verkhovna Rada”, – he wrote on his Facebook page on Sunday evening.
The Prime Minister is hoping for support from MPs for “urgent steps to restore fairness to our older generation.”
In addition, the Prime Minister posted on his page a video of the formula of calculation of pensions.
