A group of Ukrainian military pilots dispatched to Liberia in the framework of the rotation of the 56th separate helicopter detachment of the UN Mission. This reports the press service of the defense Ministry.
As reported, the military a lot of participants of military operations, many of them repeatedly performed the tasks of the UN Mission on the African continent.
“Almost every day our pilots are involved in transport and passenger transport. Also, the Ukrainian military is the only one in Liberia who perform search and rescue tasks. In a country where the land transportation system in decline, and the local carriers are non-existent, the Ukrainian peacekeepers have to perform tasks to deliver humanitarian goods to remote areas”, – is told in the message of the Ministry of defense.
