Ukrainian enterprises for the first five months of this year have put foreign markets of 3.09 thousand tons of pork, which is 2.6 times higher than for the same period last year. This is stated in the customs statistics of the State fiscal service.
According to the report, in monetary terms, exports of pork increased 3.8 times to 6.31 million U.S. dollars.
According to statistics, the import of pork in Ukraine grew by nearly 2.4 times in real terms and 2% in cash – to 783 tons and 1.37 million dollars, respectively.
However, according to the Fiscal service, exports of poultry meat and offal from Ukraine in the reporting period increased by 42% in real terms – up to 123.9 thousand tons and 1.5 times in terms of money – to 161,5 million dollars.
The import of these products in January-may made up of 38.45 thousand tons, which is 1.4 times more than in the same period last year. In monetary terms, the import of poultry meat and by-products has increased almost 1.4 times to 15.16 million dollars.
According to GFS, the export of pork from Ukraine to 2016 was reduced 8.5-fold in monetary terms, exports of pork decreased by 10.7 times.
Export of poultry meat and offal from Ukraine to 2016 compared to 2015 year increased by 48.9 per cent in volume and 29% in monetary terms.
We will remind, Ukraine increased exports by one-third, but experts are cautious.
