The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has reduced the salaries of members of election commissions, bonuses, workers in the exclusion zone, a one-time assistance to graduates of the pedagogical and medical specialties.
The decision was taken at a government meeting on Thursday, may 18. Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman read out the decision taken by the government among the meeting without discussion.
In particular, its decision, the government established that the work of members of election commissions on the voting day and counting its results, will be charged not more than 14% of the subsistence minimum for able-bodied established on 1 January of the calendar year (January 1, 2017 – 1,6 thousand UAH).
Previously, such work is paid for in the amount of not more than 14% of the minimum wage (3.2 thousand UAH).
The Cabinet also reduced the amount of disposable financial support to graduates of higher educational institutions, who were educated in areas of pedagogical and medical (pharmaceutical) profile and has signed a contract to work with the education authorities.
The amount of disposable material assistance to such graduates reduced from five times the minimum wage to five times the size of the subsistence minimum for able-bodied established on 1 January of the calendar year.
The government also reduced from January 1 2017 surcharge 150% of the minimum wage on 1 January of the relevant year up to 150% of the subsistence minimum for able-bodied established on 1 January of the calendar year.
This reduction was applied to persons who permanently work, as well as policemen, employees of service of civil protection, State Agency for exclusion zone management, military, National guard, security Service of Ukraine, State border service and the State service for special communication and information protection, which have an ongoing service in the exclusion zone.
