The group “public control” has registered a draft law on life imprisonment for corruption. This was announced by MP Dmytro Dobrodomov, transfers “112 Ukraine”.
“Our group in the Parliament “people’s control” has registered a draft law on life imprisonment for corruption. And there is the rule which prohibits bail to people accused of corruption”, – said the Deputy.
The MP commented on the fact that in the ranking of perception of corruption, Ukraine has risen by 2 points.
“It figures that only confirm the fact that concrete results in the form of planted corrupt officials and returned the money in the budget to date no. These 2 points can be attributed to the work of the deputies. Because we do in these two years of the term of this Parliament have given a lot of legislative tools to combat corruption… I believe that by top officials, MPs, and Ministers should be totally checked these declarations, and must be of an appropriate response to illegal enrichment, which requires the company”, – said the MP.
Recall, the international organization Transparency International published the results of the annual survey “corruption perception Index”, which by the end of 2016 Ukraine is ranked 131 among 176 countries.
