In the budget of the international humanitarian conference on Syria do not have enough funds to support Syrian refugees.
Specialized UN agencies and non-governmental organizations stated the need for an additional $ 4.6 billion in excess of expenditures planned for 2017-2018.
“Funding is needed to continue the vital activities of assistance to the growing needs of Syrian refugees and their host societies in the neighboring countries,” – said in the organizing Committee of the international humanitarian conference on Syria.
UN officials and non-governmental organizations noted that it is about 4.6 billion dollars. This amount will be added to the already approved costs for 2017-2018 in the amount of $ 3.4 billion. Thus, in the case of approval, the total expenditure on the maintenance of Syrian refugees reached eight billion dollars.
These funds in the framework of the regional plan is going to meet the needs of 13.5 million Syrian refugees. Of this total, about 6.3 million people are internally displaced, and about 3.9 million live in remote areas.
In addition, financial support is provided to those who are host to the internally displaced in Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq and Egypt.

The number of refugees worldwide reached last year’s 244 million people, or 41% more than in 2000. This is stated in the UN report.
The document, which the world organization publishes every two years, it is noted that the number of people who voluntarily or involuntarily moved to another country increased from 2000 to 71 million people.
UN data take into account the 20 million refugees who left their homes because of armed conflict. Basically, it is the citizens of Syria, Afghanistan and Somalia.
About one third of all migrants (78 million people) live in Europe, including 12 million in Germany alone and nine million in the UK.
