The Ukrainian market of electric vehicles will find new quality push. The increasing interest of Ukrainians to electric will support a reduction in the cost of this transport, reports UKRINFORM.
So in the Ministry of infrastructure of Ukraine presented to the Verkhovna Rada the concept of reforms to boost the industry’s development of electric vehicles.
The concept of reforms to boost the industry’s development of electric transport in Ukraine, provides for temporary removal of VAT and excise duties and the import of electric cars and charging stations within five years.
In particular, for the rapid development of the market, we plan temporarily till January 1, 2023 to exempt from VAT the import and further supplies the electric vehicles and charging stations.
It is also proposed to exempt the import of electric vehicles from excise duty.
Within ten years it is also planned to abolish the tax on the supply of components for e-vehicles and charging stations.
In the complex, it will significantly reduce the price of electric cars for the Ukrainians, and will contribute to increasing the share of electric cars on the market.
