The representative of US state Department mark Toner denied the information that the American Secretary of state Rex Tillerson allegedly questioned the need to support Ukraine, reports “RIA Novosti”.
“I have no idea what he (foreign Minister of France Jean-Marc Ayrault. – Ed.) told,” said Toner.
“Our position has not changed, we continue to firmly support the Ukrainian government and the Minsk process,” he said.
At the same time, state Department spokesman confirmed a phone call to Tillerson President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. In a press-service of the Ukrainian President reported earlier that the head of state assured that he will not allow the batch agreement on Ukraine and Syria.
We will remind, the head of the foreign Ministry of France Jean-Marc Ayrault said Tillerson allegedly asked the Ministers of the G7 countries, why “the American taxpayer should be interested in the situation in Ukraine.”
