The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko discussed with the heads of the ministries of foreign Affairs of Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, the importance of maintaining European Union sanctions against Russia and expansion of cooperation in the framework of NATO.
As the press service of the President of Ukraine Poroshenko on Tuesday in Kiev held a meeting with Ministers of foreign Affairs of Slovakia Miroslav Lajcak, of Hungary Peter Siarto and the Czech Republic, Lubomir Zaoralek, during which the parties discussed the implementation of Minsk agreements and the developments in the Donbas.
“It was about the importance of adherence to EU sanctions against Russia until full compliance with obligations in the framework of the Minsk process and the restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine”, – is told in the message.
In the context of European issues, the foreign Ministers of Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary expressed support for the European aspirations of Ukraine. “The two sides welcomed the approval by the European Parliament resolution on the abolition of the visa regime for Ukrainians,” – said the press service.
Special attention was paid to expansion of cooperation in the framework of NATO and regional cooperation of Ukraine with the countries of the “Visegrad four”, the presidency of which from 1 July 2017 assumes Hungary.
