The U.S. will continue to support Ukraine, which protects the territory and strengthen the economy against the background of Russian aggression. This was stated by U.S. Secretary of state Rex Tillerson, who is taking part in the meeting of foreign Ministers of member countries of NATO in Brussels, reports the website of the Department of state, reports “Ukrainian truth”.
“Us support and NATO support for Ukraine remains unchanged. As we have repeated at all Ministerial meetings and summits since Russia began its campaign of aggression against Ukraine, NATO firmly supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. We accept and will never accept the Russian actions aimed at changing the borders of Ukraine,” said Tillerson.
He thanked Germany and France for their efforts to find a diplomatic solution to the crisis in the East of Ukraine in “Norman format”.
“We will continue to support their efforts to accelerate the implementation of the Minsk agreements. The solidarity of NATO is crucial to finding a political solution to this conflict,” said U.S. Secretary of state.
Earlier, Tillerson said that the United States will leave in force the sanctions against Russia, while Moscow does not fulfill the conditions of the Minsk agreement and until return of the occupied Crimean Peninsula.
