Ukraine took $ 2 billion through Eurobonds

Prior to that, the Ministry of Finance planned to place securities for a smaller amount

Ukraine placed Eurobonds on 2 billion dollars for 12 years after the cancelled release of Eurobonds due to the resignation of the head of the NBU. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.

The rate on the Eurobonds is 7,253%.

“Taking advantage of market conditions, yesterday (July 23. – Ed.) Ukraine has issued bonds in the amount of $ 2 billion maturing in 2033, approximately $ 850 million of which will go towards partial repayment of Ukrainian Eurobonds with maturity in 2021 and 2022,” – said the Ministry of Finance.

The Department assured that the placement will allow Ukraine to align the repayment schedule of government debt and reduce fiscal risks in 2021 and 2022. The Ministry emphasizes that it continues to implement the debt management strategy.
