Kuleba about the situation in the Donbass: there is “push” the process forward

Ukraine managed to resume the “Norman format” level of foreign Ministers

Now to resolve the situation in the Donbas is not an imitation of activity, and the “push” process from the Ukrainian side ahead.

This was stated by Dmytro Kuleba, the Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine, in the Studio of the socio-political talk show “Freedom of speech Savik Shuster”, which comes out in live TV channel “Ukraine”.

“If you carefully trace the recent initiatives, Ukraine is very focused on results. This does not mean that the result will come immediately. But Ukraine managed to resume the “Norman format” level of foreign Ministers, the two years they hadn’t spoken in the format of four Ministers. We did it for the first time. Now preparing the second conversation,” he said.

According to Kuleba, the second step is to raise the level of the Ukrainian delegation to the TAG.

“This is a very specific thing that significantly influences how we are able to present their position and then implement their decisions. Now, we are focused, and it was one of the main themes in Berlin how to motivate Russia. Not to imitate activity and to join this process, there is such a wonderful principle of diplomacy – reciprocity, and mutually work to resolve the conflict,” he concluded.

Earlier, the Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba said that Ukraine is ready to compromise on the issue of returning control of the occupied territories of Donbass and Crimea.

As reported “Today” on June 2 in Berlin came an impressive Ukrainian delegation: Deputy head of President’s Office Igor Zhovkva, Advisor to the President of Ukraine Ruslan Demchenko, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister for reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories Oleksii Reznikov, the Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba and defense Minister Andrei Taran.
