The number of overdue loans of MFIs increased during the quarantine

To avoid the accumulation of debt some MFIs stopped lending

Amid numerous complaints of Ukrainians to financial institutions, in Ukraine, the growing rate of overdue loans, which are usually employees of “intercept to the salary”. This was told in the Association of financial institutions.

Thus, the Ukrainian microfinance institutions (MFIs) noted an increase in the proportion of overdue loans of up to 50% in their loan portfolios.

To avoid the accumulation of debt some MFIs for a period of quarantine stopped lending. Some worked, but suffered heavy losses and are now thinking what to do with overdue debts.
