The head of the faction “Fair Russia” in the state Duma Sergei Mironov urged to take the so-called “DNR” and “LNR” under the temporary protectorate of the Russian Federation. About it reported in a press-service of political force.
He recalled that a year has passed since that moment, as Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree simplifying the procedure of obtaining Russian citizenship for residents of Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
“Russia must take the “DNR” and “LNR” under a temporary protectorate. Only by entering a special status for “republics” within the Russian Federation, Donbass will be able to bring peace back to their land and to overcome the coronavirus, to start to live normally. That is our historic and moral challenge … In our citizenship included 230 thousand people, and every day they are becoming more – people, who were Russians, not only in spirit but also the letter of the law. So what else should be in our power to protect them?” – said Mironov.
Russian Deputy acknowledged that the occupied territories are in deep crisis and isolation in 2014, only forgot to mention that this resulted in the aggression of Russia.
Despite some calls by Russian politicians to “protect” the occupied territories from the Kremlin’s war, Russia itself is not particularly sees them in their composition. As reported “Today”, even Moscow has not recognized the independence of “LNR” and “DNR”. Vice Prime Minister – Minister for reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories Oleksiy Reznikov explained is not the most pleasant situation for the militants.
