The number of payment cards and cashless transactions has increased markedly

Despite the fact that every third adult Ukrainian living without a Bank accountin the country continues to grow the number and volume of cashless transactions. In the first quarter of 2020 the number of cashless transactions rose by 24.5%, and the amount by 15.6% compared to the same period of 2019. This was reported by the press service of the National Bank (NBU).

So, in the first quarter the number of cashless transactions amounted to 1 183,2 million units (85.4% of all operations), and the sum is 503 billion, or 54.6% of all operations with cards (last year, at the end of the first quarter, the rate was 49.7 per cent).

“Analysis of the distribution of non-cash transactions according to their types of shows: in January – March, 2020 is still the largest number of operations using cards I had on the settlements in the trade network – 50,3%, the sum is dominated by a map of 41.3% (average check is one such operation was 1505 UAH)”, – stated in the message.
