This tax is not charged fully due to the lack of comprehensive coverage of the taxation objects in the registry
In Ukraine, where during quarantine act tax holidays, local budgets annually lose 2 billion UAH for non-payment of tax on real residential and non-residential property. It is not charged fully due to the lack of comprehensive coverage of taxation in the State register of rights to immovable property. This was told in the press service of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
Experts of the Ministry believe that the database is missing up to 40% of the real estate.
“To increase revenues to the local budgets of the tax on immovable property local governments should ensure full operation of the information content of the State register of rights to immovable property and the transfer of archived information on the rights of ownership to real property from paper in an electronic database. This will allow tax authorities to obtain relevant information for the calculation of the corresponding obligations”, – said the press service.
