The Ambassador commented on the appointment of ethnic Ukrainian Freeland, foreign Minister of Canada

The post of Minister of foreign Affairs of Canada of the ethnic Ukrainians Chrystia Freeland will adhere to liberal policies and the right values in the world. This was told “UKRINFORM” Ukrainian Ambassador to Canada, Andriy Shevchenko.

In his view, Freeland will strengthen a liberal policy for Canada in the world.

“We can expect continuing and strengthening the policies that Canada now stands out in the world, namely: commitment to liberal values, democracy, free trade,” – said Shevchenko.

He thinks Freeland will not only continue the work of the former canadian foreign Minister Dion and increase its achievements.

“Thanks to Dion for his work with him, to Minister Freeland, we can only rely on strengthening the voice of Canada, as a state that stands on strong, correct values in the world”, – concluded Shevchenko.

As it became known, the Minister of international trade of Canada Chrystia Freeland, who has Ukrainian origin, will be appointed Minister of foreign Affairs of the country by decision of the Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to change the composition of the government.
