Hardware stores had the right to trade only certain goods

On may 11 in Ukraine will allow wholesale and retail trade of inedible goods, and until the country banned trade of construction materials. Those who violated or will violate this prohibition, will be dealt with by law enforcement. This was during an extraordinary meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers said the Prime-Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmyhal.

“The work of building hypermarkets [in quarantine] was composed exclusively of trade in medical products, hygiene products, means of communication. It was not a license to sell other products and cash in on the quarantine. Were given a clear explanation of which products and which departments of such stores can trade with commodities. Trade of construction materials was prohibited and remains prohibited until 11 may,” said Smigel.

According to him, the same applies to catering establishments.

“All cases of violations are not being checked by law enforcement agencies, bodies of sanitary-epidemiological security. Personally gave instructions carefully to make sure that this issue was not elected and violators are held accountable. <…> A small shop needs to work on equal terms with large hypermarkets,” he said.
