Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko in Toronto during a meeting with Ukrainian community of Canada thanked foreign Ukrainians and handed in state awards, the press service of the presidential Administration.
“I would like to emphasize that you are defending the interests of our state outside of Ukraine. Without your support Ukraine would be much harder to face the challenges of our time”, – said the Head of state.

The head of state noted that the present actions better acknowledge how deeply they suffer for the fate of the Ukrainian state. “The current support for Canada, including your great services. Today we fight together for a single great cause – the independence and prosperity of our state and nation,” the President said.
Earlier it was reported that Petro Poroshenko has thanked the Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau for their support the canadian side of the reforms.
“The Ukrainian head of state thanked for the hospitality and a clear position in support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of our state. “Friends are learned in trouble. And all the while we feel the shoulder of Canada, including in the field of security and defence policy”, – said Poroshenko.
