Poroshenko disclosed details of the upcoming visit to the United States

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko during his visit to the United States to participate in the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly intends to raise the issue of release of Ukrainian hostages and political prisoners.

He said this on his page in Facebook.

“The issue of releasing Ukrainian hostages and political prisoners will be a key during my visit to the United States at the 72-nd session of the UN General Assembly,” wrote the head of state.

Recall, 18-21 September, President Poroshenko will make a working visit to the United States to participate in the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly.

During the visit, Poroshenko will deliver a speech during the General debate of the UN General Assembly, will take part in the summit of the UN security Council on peacekeeping issues, high-level events on issues of UN reform, as well as the issue of countering the use of the Internet for terrorist purposes.

It was reported that Poroshenko intends to submit to the UN General Assembly the idea of a United Nations peacekeeping mission in the Donbas.

Also planned bilateral meetings Poroshenko with world leaders, including U.S. President Donald trump. The White house said the meeting of leaders of Ukraine and the USA will be held on Thursday, September 21.
