The head of the faction “people’s front” Maxim Burbak said that Russia, through the exercise “Zapad-2017” may prepare the army for a military invasion of Ukraine. He said this during the conciliation Council of the Parliament, UNIAN reports.
The politician hopes that law enforcement agencies will effectively counter any anti-Ukrainian Russian plans in Ukraine.
“Especially against the background of large-scale military exercises of the Russian army of the “West-2017″ on the territory of Belarus, near the borders of Ukraine, which will take place in September this year,” – said Bourbaki.

He also is concerned that Russia may exceed stated earlier, the number of its troops on maneuvers, as previously warned in NATO.
“This may indicate a hidden training of the army to intervene. “Popular front” believes that in the period from 14 to 20 September, the state authorities must demonstrate the effectiveness and coherence to prevent danger for the country”, – he stressed.
