Ukraine increases foreign trade deficit

External balance of goods and services of Ukraine in January-July 2017 deficit at the level of 3,187 billion, 20.2% higher than the deficit for January-July 2016 at the level of 2,652 billion. About it reports a press-service of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).

Thus, the deficit of foreign trade in January-July compared with the same period of the previous year increased by 31.2 per cent to 4,259 billion, the foreign trade surplus in services has increased 1.8 times — up to 1,072 billion.

In July the foreign trade deficit amounted to $ 900 million, the trade deficit in goods — 1,082 billion, the surplus on trade in services — 182 million dollars.

We will remind, at the end of 2016, the EU accounted for 37.1% of Ukrainian exports to Russia – 9.9 percent. Overall, the share of Russia in Ukrainian foreign trade fluctuates around 10%, while imports exceed exports.
