In the international exercise “Rapid trident-2017”, which will start in the Lviv region at the beginning of September this year, will take part more than 2,5 thousand troops from Ukraine and 14 countries of the partners. This was announced by the Minister of defence Stepan Poltorak, reports the press service of the Ministry.

“The current exercises will be held with a larger scale than in previous years, – said the Minister of defence of Ukraine. Training together gives us a good chances of getting criteria and standards existing in the countries of the Alliance and our partners – the opportunity to learn from the experience of Ukrainian soldiers received during the fighting.”
Earlier, the head of the General staff of Ukrainian armed forces Viktor Muzhenko said that under the guise of training exercises Zapad-2017 in Belarus can be created forward bases weapons and military equipment, which will give Russia the ability to quickly create a new group.
