During the voting in the OSCE Italy aims to support the establishment of peace in Ukraine. This was stated by Minister of foreign Affairs of Italy Angelino Alfano, speaking before the OSCE Permanent Council in Vienna, UKRINFORM reported.
“Alfano said that Italy will continue to support all efforts of OSCE for the peaceful solution of the conflict in Ukraine and called for the implementation of the Minsk agreements in full compliance with the sovereignty, territorial integrity, unity and independence of Ukraine”, – stated in the message on the OSCE website.
According to the head of the Italian foreign Ministry, the situation in Ukraine once again emphasized the importance of such an Institute as the OSCE.
“The crisis in and around Ukraine has called into question the principles of the OSCE; on the other hand, it clearly showed – once and for all – how badly the world needs the OSCE to resolve the crisis,” he said.

As reported, the OSCE chairmanship next year will go to Italy.
Current head of the organization is the foreign Minister of Austria Sebastian Kurz.
We will remind, the OSCE parliamentary Assembly at the 26th annual summer session, which was held 5-9 of July in Minsk, following the results of meeting included in the final statement of the summer session two resolutions on Ukraine, with condemnation of the ongoing hybrid of Russian aggression.
