Poroshenko: NATO Membership is important for the security of Georgia and Ukraine

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko discussed with the Georgian leader Giorgi Margvelashvili European and Euro-Atlantic courses in Ukraine and Georgia. This they said during the visit of the Ukrainian President to Georgia.

“A significant part of our talks was devoted to the European Union and NATO, and coordination for European and Euro-Atlantic integration”, – said Poroshenko.

He also noted that Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova will form the second phase of the agenda of the Eastern partnership.

“Now we together with our partners from Georgia, Moldova and our European partners will form the second phase of the agenda of the Eastern partnership. Our ambitious plans of beginning a discussion on the restoration plan of action on membership in NATO are also on the agenda and is critical to ensuring the security of both Georgia and Ukraine”, – said the President of Ukraine.

Yesterday, during a meeting with Moldovan Prime Minister pavalam Philip Petro Poroshenko agreed to form a common agenda for the Eastern partnership summit, which will take place in the fall.
