A group of deputies, who introduced a bill to the reading of the prayer “our father” immediately after the opening plenary meetings, every Thursday is going to morning prayers and the parsing of Scripture. MP from “popular front” Victor yelensky in the air “5 channel” I explained how there was this idea that of the deputies, the TV channel “112 Ukraine”.
“This bill has registered a group of deputies, which meets regularly to these morning prayers and the parsing of Scripture. They do it on Thursday of each sessional week and apparently during one of the dissections of Scripture they came to this idea,” said yelensky.
He added that one MP from this group consulted with him about this initiative.
“I expressed to him about such a remark: of course, the state should guarantee everyone the freedom of conscience and to provide it, but in a country where there is a regime of separation of Church and state, which is secular, in the legislature it is hardly appropriate… to me they referred to as a theologian”.
