The court refused to increase the bail for Guzhva

The appellate court of Kiev made the decision to refuse the prosecution to increase bail to editor-in-chief the Internet-editions “Strenia” Igor Guzhva to 3.2 million hryvnia, according to “Country”.

The prosecution assures the court that since Igor Guzhva traveled abroad, so he can hide from the investigation.

“Assigned to the Guzhva Deposit of 544 thousand hryvnia is not enough,” said the Prosecutor.

The primacy of the judge, in turn, explained to the Prosecutor that the prosecution could not even verify whether Guzhva to pay the requested Deposit.

In the end, after some time, the judge has left in a consultative room for decision-making, and then decided to leave in force the previous Deposit.

As it became known on June 26, Igor Guzhva, who was in the detention center, posted bail in the amount of 544 thousand UAH.

Earlier in Prosecutor’s office of Kiev declared its intention to apply for the arrest of the head of the Internet edition “Strenia” with the possibility of bail in the sum more than 3 million UAH.

We will remind, Guzhva was detained June 22, in Kiev. As reported by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko, Guzhva demanded and received 10 thousand dollars. for the deployment of compromising materials on the current policy. The attorney General, at the disposal of investigators have video and photo evidence of the offense.
