The UN is ready to support the efforts of the negotiating group of the Normandy format (France, Germany, Russia, Ukraine), as well as the work of the Trilateral contact group on conflict settlement in the Donbass, said the UN Secretary-General, antónio Guterres.
“It is very important to ensure full respect for the ceasefire regime, in particular on the agreements that exist. UN monitors and we are ready to support all efforts and Channel four and the Trilateral contact group, the OSCE, and to do everything necessary to facilitate the resolution of the ongoing crisis for a long time,” said Guterres after a meeting with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in Kiev on Sunday.
As reported, Petro Poroshenko, in turn, has proposed to reform the UN.
