Poroshenko signed a decree on conscription in the National guard in 2017

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed a decree on conscription for military service in the ranks of the National guard of Ukraine in August 2017.

“Call in August 2017 for military service in the National guard of Ukraine suitable on a state of health to military service of citizens of Ukraine male who on the day of departure in military units was 20 years old and older persons under 27 years of age and not eligible for exemption or deferment from conscription to military service”, – said in the text of the decree No. 178/2017 from 7 July published on the website of the President.

According to paragraph 1 of the decree he issued for the partial amendment of articles 2 and 3 of the decree of 24 February 2017 №44 “About the transfer to the reserve of soldiers of urgent service, the date of the next appeals and the regular appeals of citizens of Ukraine for military service in 2017”.

The decree entrusted the Cabinet of Ministers to determine the number of Ukrainian citizens subject to conscription in August 2017 for military service in the National guard of Ukraine, and volumes of expenses for carrying out such a call.

Presidential decree No. 44/2017 of February 24, 2017, provided the terms of the conscription of citizens for military service in April-may and October-November.

“To call for military service fit for health for military service of citizens of Ukraine male who on the day of departure in military units was 20 years old, and older persons who have not attained 27 years of age and are not entitled to a dismissal or deferral of conscription for military service in April-may 2017; in October-November of 2017”, – stated in the decree of 24 February.
