France is ready to support the Minsk process and are ready for a new meeting in Normandy format. This was stated by the French leader Emmanuel macron on a joint with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko a briefing, transfers “Interfax-Ukraine”.
“I would like to mention that France is ready to continue efforts in the Normandy format and we are ready to hold a new discussion in the “Normandy format”. We intend to continue the “Minsk process”. We support the idea of the possibility of active cooperation in the “channel format” with the involvement of the OSCE. That’s what I suggested to all parties,” said macron.
He noted that during the next “Norman meetings” can be voiced by a number of conditions for all parties to the negotiations to resolve the crisis.
“France remains, along with Germany is extremely involved in this process and insists on the development of these agreements, their implementation. And in the coming days, coming weeks, we will try to work seriously on this with the Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel,” underscored macron.
According to the President of France, he does not want the discussion on the implementation of the agreements Minsk ended in nothing, and he also spoke to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Earlier, Poroshenko said that Ukraine and the United States do not see the need to change the “Norman format” and to have some parallel track to the Minsk process.
