The security service of Ukraine together with the police exposed a scheme of levies from students, streamlined the leadership and teachers of Chernihiv branch of one of higher educational institutions. About it reports press-the SBU center.
“Dean of the economic faculty of the University with the mediation of senior lecturer systematically demanded from students money for passing the exams and receiving diplomas. For seamless delivery of integrated state exam the student had to pay US $ 100 or equivalent amount in UAH”, – stated in the message Department.
Security officers have detained “on hot” the senior teacher during receiving the next bribe in the amount of $ 100.
“During a search in his office the police found $ 1,500 and more than 25 thousand hryvnia with lists of students and notes about the payment of bribes”, – added in Department.
In the framework of the open criminal proceedings under article 368 of the Criminal code of Ukraine checked the possible facts of corruption activity of the Institute employees. Continue the urgent investigative actions.
