Ukraine and USA signed a Memorandum on cooperation between the parliaments, reports “UKRINFORM”.
The signing ceremony took place during a bilateral meeting of the head of the Verkhovna Rada Andrew Parubiy and the speaker of the U.S. house of representatives Paul Ryan.
“This is an important document that consolidates and structures the cooperation between our parliaments,” − said paruby added that it is “very important wording” about Ukraine.
“The text of the Memorandum stated that Ukraine is “Outpost” protect the Western democracies against the background of Russian aggression,” − emphasized the speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament.
The document identifies the sphere of inter-parliamentary dialogue, including in matters of international politics, security, trade, industry, innovations, infrastructure and space. The Memorandum also covers cooperation in the field of health, agriculture and natural resources.
