Poroshenko expressed condolences in connection with death of Patriarch Lubomyr Husar

Today, may 31 died, his Beatitude Lubomyr, Supreme Archbishop Emeritus of the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church, and the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko expressed on his page in Facebook condolences in connection with the departure of Lubomir Husar of life.

“I sincerely grieve with all the faithful of the UGCC and Ukraine. I Express my deep respect for this kind man, a true ascetic, who boldly carried the word of the Lord Ukrainians in two centuries at the turn of the millennia,” wrote the President.

Poroshenko recalled that in a recent interview with Lubomyr Husar said: “Peace means to love each other. Peace is not the absence of struggle.”

“In carrying out his orders by his heart, we must continue to fight for Ukraine, for peace, for love,” – said Poroshenko.

We will remind, the head of the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church 2005-2011 years his Beatitude Lubomyr Husar died 31 may 2017 on 85-m to year of life.
