The General Prosecutor of Ukraine Yury Lutsenko declares that it intends to honour its pledge to serve the head of the state office of public Prosecutor about a year and a half and has no presidential ambitions.
Responding to a question about whether he sees himself as the President of Ukraine, Yuri Lutsenko said, “No.” He added: “I see myself as the Prosecutor General of Ukraine for about six months, maybe a few more (Lutsenko has held the position of attorney General year – ed.)”.
He said he wants to be “effective and efficient Prosecutor General of Ukraine”.
According to Lutsenko, he had not yet completed all the tasks on his post, but he added: “At a time when my qualities, managerial ability, despite the lack of a legal education, would no longer be needed, I will step aside to the post in the normal Prosecutor’s office… took the young legally educated leader”.
“I’m not here (in the office of the attorney General – if) linger, but still I’m not done”, said Lutsenko.
