“Ukrzaliznytsya” from August 1 will launch the train Lviv – Krakow

PJSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” plans August 1 to send in the first train Lviv – Krakow. This was reported by press service of the company with reference to its head of Wojciech Balczun.

“Working on the introduction of a rail link to Krakow. You may accept the proposal of the Polish colleagues and implement the project using a system of sliding carriages SUW-2000. Currently exploring options,” – said Balczun.

According to him, the Ukrainian Railways is actively working to improve international transport with the neighbouring countries.

Balczun added that a visa-free regime with the EU opens to PAO new perspectives, and “Ukrzaliznytsya” intends to actively develop the market of international rail transport.

“After Krakow we plan to link the train Chernivtsi from Romania and other projects,” he said.
