The EU will not accept new rules of aviation security

The EU authorities do not consider it necessary to enact additional regulations on civil aviation security, said the representative of the European Commission (EC) Enrico Brivio.

“At the moment we have no reason to approve additional measures (in the sphere of security. – Ed.)”, – quotes its words Agency “Bloomberg”.

According to him, currently, it is not necessary to wait for decisions in connection with the discussion of the EU and the USA Washington’s plans to tighten the rules of aviation security. Brivio said that it is more about the exchange of information between the parties.

He added that in addition to the EC, national governments should participate in the discussion of additional security measures and in implementing them.

Bloomberg recalls that statements E. Brivio has sounded on the eve of the meeting, member of the EC for transport Violeta bulc and a member of the EC on internal Affairs, Dimitris Avramopoulos, Deputy Minister of internal security of the United States Elaine Duke.

According to us media reports, the talks will discuss the details of the ban on the transportation of laptops and tablets on flights from Europe to USA.
