If there will be official confirmation of the second citizenship of the Roman Nasirov, law enforcement agencies should start the procedure of suspension of the Ukrainian citizenship. This was stated by the head of the faction “Block of Petro Poroshenko” Arthur Gerasimov, answering a question of journalists on account of the suspended head of the State fiscal service, reports “Ukrainian truth”.
“There are procedural aspects. Needs to be official confirmation, official testimonies,” he said.
“If any of the power structures has an official confirmation, not speculation, not something from the Internet, they should follow the procedure and submit the issue in hall”, – said the leader of the BPP.
Gerasimov also said that if other MPs have other passports other than Ukrainian, in respect they, too, should start the procedure of deprivation of citizenship because of the possibility of access to state secrets.
“This is unacceptable, when citizens of other countries can have access to secret information,” he said.
As is known, may 16, the Verkhovna Rada has deprived of the Deputy mandate Andrei Artemenko, which previously was expelled from the faction of the Radical party over the proposals of Russia and Crimea and has deprived the Ukrainian citizenship due to the presence of other countries ‘ passports.
Article 17 and 19 of the law of Ukraine on citizenship define the bases for deprivation of Ukrainian citizenship, which include citizenship of another country.
