Ukrainian law enforcement system worked smoothly and was able to prevent any crimes of a terrorist nature during the Eurovision song contest in Kiev. This was stated at a briefing the head of the SBU Basil Gritsak, reports 112.ua.
He was pleased with the work of Ukrainian law enforcement officers.
“We are very worried that the Eurovision was held without incidents, so I did. Eurovision has shown that Ukrainian law-enforcement system can work smoothly… Managed to prevent any crimes of a terrorist nature,” said Hrytsak.
He also noted that the Ukrainian intelligence services closely followed by people who are connected with the so-called “DPR/LPR”, or Russian intelligence services.
“It is for these people implemented enhanced operational control. Some of them we called, questioned, or influence them to understand the situation,” – said the head of the SBU.
