The Minister of foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu criticized the US decision to provide arms to Syrian Kurds. According to the Minister, devotional Kurds the weapons might be used against Turkey, according to Reuters, reports ZN.ua.
The Minister noted that he sees no difference between the “Kurdistan workers ‘party”, which Turkey considers a terrorist, and Kurdish self-defense units in Syria. Cavusoglu noted that under both the names of the terrorists are hiding. Turkey urged the US to abandon its support for Kurdish forces in Syria.
Earlier it was reported that the American President Donald trump approved a plan to provide weapons to Syrian Kurds to accelerate the fight against the terrorist organization “Islamic state”. The administration noted that the Syrian democratic forces, including the Syrian-defense, are the only force that was able to capture Raqqa in the near future.
