Ukraine to pump gas into underground storage

Natural gas reserves in Ukrainian underground gas storages (UGS) from 29 April to 6 may rose 3.9%, or 327 million cubic meters, up to 8,724 billion cubic meters with 8,397 billion cubic meters this is evidenced by the operator of the gas transportation system of Ukraine state company “Ukrtransgaz”.

Daily volume of gas injection into underground storage as of may 6 was about 53,6 million cubic meters.

As reported, in September 2016, the government approved the schedule of preparation for the heating season, and identified the volume of stocks of fuel to provide consumers with heat and electricity. During the heating season 2016 – 2017 Ukraine was included with the reserves of natural gas at the level of 14.7 billion cubic meters.

March 13, “Ukrtransgaz” reported that Ukraine has stopped gas extraction from the storage and start it pumping.
