Cereal

The flakes in icing and chocolate balls — they are so fond of children! Well, some adults do not like to feed them cereal with milk or yoghurt — quick and tasty. But not useful, because they have a lot of sugar (363 kcal per 100 grams). A valuable component, cellulose, is only 3 grams of 100, and after an hour and a half, your child will want to eat.

Replacement for: omelette with vegetables.

Citrus juices

Fruit acids irritate the gastric mucosa, causing increased secretion of hydrochloric acid. Daily use of citrus and citrus juice is harmful: they contain “light-sensitive” chemicals — psoralena and furocoumarins, which make the skin more vulnerable to sunlight.

Replacement for: herbal tea.

Raw fruits and vegetables

Do not give your child fruits and vegetables as a standalone Breakfast. These acids will not benefit empty stomach. For example, persimmons and tomatoes contain large amounts of pectin and tannic acid, which forms a gastric stone.

Replace: vegetable soup. Sounds strange, but it is easily absorbed and does not cause gassing during the day.

Milk drinks

They are not harmful to the child’s stomach, on an empty stomach they are rather useless. Lactic acid bacteria (lactobacilli and bifidobacteria) that make up the core of their value, fall into the aggressive acidic environment and are killed in the stomach before reaching the intestines. Better if the child will drink yogurt after half an hour after Breakfast.

Replacement for: cranberry juice. It contains a daily norm of vitamins C, A, E and K, about 1/3 of the daily requirement of b vitamins and is a valuable source of minerals: potassium, phosphorus and calcium.

Pastries and sandwiches

Fast carbs contained in bread, raise blood sugar and cause the pancreas to overwork, throwing out large amounts of insulin. And the excess of insulin promotes deposition of fat even in a child. Besides pastries (especially hot) causes increased flatulence.

Replacement for: all-natural snack bar made of dried fruit, honey and cereals.
