The Pentagon responded to DPRK threats to sink U.S. aircraft carrier

The United States urged North Korea to halt destabilizing rhetoric. So Washington responded to the threat of Pyongyang to sink US aircraft carrier. It is reported by CNN, reports “Ukrainian truth”.

“We urge North Korea to refrain from provocative, destabilizing actions and rhetoric and to make a strategic choice to stick to its international obligations and return to serious negotiations,” said Pentagon spokesman Gary Ross.

He added that an illegal arms program of North Korea is a serious threat to U.S. national security.

The American announcement came after Pyongyang threatened to sink the U.S. aircraft carrier “Carl Vinson”.

The threat appeared in the official North Korean press. The aircraft carrier is currently conducting exercises with Japanese destroyers near the Philippines.

We will remind, on 11 April, the President of the United States Donald trump said the United States sent “a powerful Armada” in the direction of the Korean Peninsula.

However, on 19 April it became clear that the ships went not to the North, to the sea of Japan, and in the other direction, to Australia, for planned exercises with the Australian military.
The next day, the White house and the Pentagon clarified that any errors in the words of trump was not because the campaign “Carl Vinson” was originally planned along the route to the Korean Peninsula, through Australia.
