The only President of the USSR Mikhail Gorbachev reiterated that today’s world is showing signs of a new cold war. He stated this in an interview with German newspaper Bild, reports.
“The speech of politicians is becoming more militant, the doctrine of receive all the stronger language. Media all picked up and heated up even more. Constantly deteriorating relations between the major powers, there is a feeling that the world adjusts to the new war. That is to say, all signs of the cold war,” he said.
Note that Gorbachev is not the first sees the signs of the cold war. In January 2015, he said that the United States allegedly “dragged” Russia into a new cold war, trying to realize his idea of triumphalist.
Then in an interview with German magazine Der Spiegel, the politician said that in case of war conflict with the West will inevitably escalate into a nuclear conflict.
Last summer, Gorbachev noticed the signs of preparation for NATO to war with Russia.
