The process of preparing for the debate and voting for the liberalization of the visa regime for citizens of Ukraine is happening in a planned manner. This was stated by the Rapporteur of the Committee on civil liberties, justice and home Affairs on the issue of liberalization of visa regime for Ukraine Mariya Gabriel, according to Deputy foreign Minister of Ukraine Olena zerkal.
“She expects bezviz will receive the necessary support of MEPs during a debate on 5 April and appropriate vote on 6 April 2017,” wrote the mirror in Facebook.
Elena zerkal noted that the media spreads news that a small political group of the European Parliament “Europe of freedom and direct democracy”, headed by British eurosceptic Nigel Farage, made a legislative proposal regarding the failure to provide Ukraine visa-free regime.
“Propaganda and negative news travels quickly, but it will not hurt in the process of making the European Parliament a long-awaited decision, despite the fact that the so-called “Russian lobby” by all possible means trying to create a negative atmosphere around close prospects for the introduction of a visa-free regime for Ukraine. I’m sure as well as Mary Gabriel, what the decision will be positive and there are no prospects of support for the European Parliament “Russian” amendments no,” – wrote the Ukrainian diplomat.
As you know, today in the European Parliament will hold debates on bezveze for Ukraine.
