Parubiy instructed to re-contest for the election of members of the chamber of accounts

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy appealed to the Verkhovna Rada Committee on budget on the re-appointment of the competition for the election of members of the chamber. During consideration of the appointment of the members of the audit chamber, the Parliament supported the proposal of the Budget Committee of the Parliament on the “rating” of voting only for those candidates, who all submitted applications selected by the Committee.

So, deputies conducted a “ranking” vote for 28 candidates and determined 9 of them for later appointment of members of the Chamber.

There was a separate vote for final approval of these candidates for membership of the chamber. Members of the house proposed to appoint Viktor Bogun, Taras Gerula, Lubomir drozdovskii, Ruslan Lukyanchuk, Andrew Meisner, Vitalij Basil, Caesar Fire, Valeriy Patskan and Yaroslav sydorovych. However, the deputies did not support the proposal: voted 211 out of 339 MPs registered in the session hall.

Next, during the discussion, the leader of the faction “people’s front” Maxim Burbak said that the chamber should be representative of all factions and groups of Parliament to ensure it was an independent body.

“We need to conduct a thorough selection of the representative should be from all factions and groups to ensure that it was effective, not internal party organ. Therefore I appeal to all to refrain from voting” he said.

After discussion, it was proposed to vote for a return to consideration of this question, but the deputies did not support the proposal: voted 212 parliamentarians.

“The situation has not changed, votes no, I Beg the Committee on the budget to announce a new competition for positions of members of the accounting chamber”, – said Parubiy.
