Ukraine sharply increased gas transit to the EU

Ukraine in the first quarter of 2017 increased gas transit to EU countries by 20% yoy. About it reports a press-service of the operator of the gas transportation system (GTS) “Ukrtransgas”.

“In the first quarter of this year through the national gas transportation network to European consumers was pretransportation 23.2 billion cubic meters of blue fuel, which is 20% more than last year”, – reported in “Ukrtransgaz”.

In March, the volume of transit amounted to 6.6 billion cubic meters of natural gas, which corresponds to the same period last year.

Daily for the needs of European consumers is transported 220,5 million cubic meters of gas.

“As of this morning, the pressure on the Russian border gas metering stations (GIS) “Sudzha” is 57.7 atmosphere instead agreed a contract 60 atmospheres. Despite the failure of contractual pressure by the Russian side, Ukraine guarantees stable gas supplies to Europe,” says the company.
